“I prefer to play older songs because they’re the ones I personally enjoy dancing and singing along to and modern dance music bores my brains out.”

Somebody buy me this book? I’m poor.

Slipping through my fingers… then suddenly gone

Do you know the feeling?

Ah yes. You should know by now that I’m such a geek. I’m a sucker for drama, lyrics, music, literature…words. They haunt me and make me suffer. I become the meaning. It’s scary yet so wonderful.

I currently love this amazing song. Enjoy, get lost and resurface.

Fab stuff

I hope you all had a great Easter! It was pretty mellow around here. Today Jamie and I went to the Willamette Fish Hatchery in Oakrdige (of all things), but it was pretty fun. Now we are enjoying a glass of red while waiting for the Easter dinner, which is in the crock pot. Yeah, we’re budgeting. In case you’re dying to know WHAT we’re cooking, you can find the recipe here. Nothing says Easter like sausage and cabbage… said no one ever. Ha!

Here’s a song that I’m enjoying tonight:

Music Monday: The PETODY edition!

Let me just start off by saying: BOOKMARK THIS! You will need it when you need a break, need a laugh, or just want to shut out everything else. I just recently stumbled upon the genius that is The Pet Collective, a YouTube channel owned by Freemantle Media, which features everything PETS! Could it be more awesome? I think not. I’m just in love with Ruffhanna, the dobie channeling her inner Rihanna. Just take a look at these videos, you will never regret it.

Also, check out this “behind the scenes” video:

OK, moving on. Here is Pawdele barking out her “Digging in the Deep”.

And.. introducing Corgi Rae!

Dexter fans, check this out:

HAHAHA, I D I E !!!!!!!

And here is One Directon…eerrr..excuse me, I meant Pup Direction:

And… (finally, for this post at least) The Fresh Pup of Bel Air!

Music Monday: Florence + The Machine, Amanda Abizaid, Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin!

Florence, you are my style icon, my idol, my goddess. Tell me, what can I do to be just half as fab as you? Keep it going, girl. You’ve cracked the code ❤

Here’s a mellow one from Amanda Abizaid. A little sad….

And finally here’s a French song with Spanish subtitles. You’re welcome! Hey, it’s Serge and Jane, so shush.

Music Monday: The Killers

It’s no surprise that I’ve been a longtime fan of The Killers. This is not a new song, but it fits my mood tonight.

The “heart symbol” should be sufficient for this post, but it’s not

OK, you guys!!! Do you even know how much Mulholland Drive means to me? I mean, David Lynch is THE MAN! Ever since Twin Peaks I’ve been obsessed with this psycho-alternative universe he’s got going on. And I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting this genius; do not be fooled. He is not some fruit basket in a world of veggies, this man is a master mind and the joke is on you if you don’t get it. So – I’m ready to discuss all my theories on the wonder that is MD, but even if you’re not a fan, how can you not be seduced by this scene… (I hate myself for even bringing this up, but we live in a tabloid-hungry society where every mag has Jen Aniston’s mug on it, and in this scene, her beau, Justin Theroux is the director.) Eat your heart out, suckas! Or indulge, if you’re into film noir and its sub-genres.
